Position Summary
Manage day-to-day clinical and financial operations for select divisions with the Department of Medicine. Provide leadership and management when coordinating these activities; to collaborate with Division Chiefs, Nursing, and other leadership internal to the department to achieve the goals and the department and the MFA.

Coordinates, in conjunction with Executive and Associate Director and the physician leaders the human resource functions for non-clinical staff including hiring, performance evaluations, counseling, terminations, promotions, wage/salary adjustments, disciplinary decisions and grievance procedure; coordinates, in conjunction with the physician leader, the logistics of administrative human resource functions for clinical staff; assists in the development and implementation of programs designed to retain staff and enhance team work among working groups; oversees payroll activities of patient care support staff.
Develops, revises, and implements standard processes to improve operational efficiency to optimize patient experience and support physicians working at the top of their license.
Accountable for effective resource management to support patient care. Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of staff. Creates productivity standards and targets. Provides regular and ongoing feedback on performance. Transparently provides Division Chiefs, Executive Director, Chair, and other leadership with reports to measure team effectiveness against targeted goals.
Prioritizes workload demands and cross covering functions within and across areas as needed.
Fiscal accountability for meeting revenue targets and successful management of expenses. This includes ensuring inventory control for patient supplies and drugs. Also includes Lean management, minimizing waste and optimizing on value in every aspect of the division.
Meets with individual physicians and APP’s to provide feedback on monthly charges, collections, etc., and addresses issues or concerns with Revenue Cycle leadership. Tracks issues and works collaboratively towards a resolution with communication loop back to physician and APP.
