Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work within Nurse-Physician Care Team based Ambulatory Practice model caring for Medical Hematology/Oncology patients.
• Provide clinical support to staff members, and assist with the management of a caseload of patients.
• Perform patient assessment, symptom management, telephone triage, assist with prior authorization and offer patient/family education.
• Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, Master of Science in Nursing preferred

Licensure

• Current DC licensure as a Registered Nurse, or evidence of application submission.
• Current BCLS
• OCN/BMTCN preferred, required to obtain certification within 1 year if not certified at time of hire

Experience

• 1 year of experience in Oncology nursing required 
• Outpatient Medical Oncology experience strongly preferred
• Ambulatory experience preferred
