Position Summary 

GW Immediate and Primary Care (GW IPC) is committed to offering compassionate, quality care to every patient throughout the care continuum as a medical home or through services on a walk-in basis.

GW IPC currently has full-time opportunities for candidates to join its dynamic clinical team as medical assistants at one of its multiple locations in the Washington, DC area.

Three opportunities that are currently available are at our McPherson Square office location (1101 15^th St., NW) and Rhode Island Ave location (2350 Washington Pl., NE) with the following schedule structure:

1. Monday, Tuesday (7:30am-8:30pm) Friday (6:30am – 7:30pm) and every other Saturday (7:30am – 6:30pm)
2. Tuesday (7:30am-8:30pm), Wednesday, Friday (6:30am – 7:30pm), and every other Saturday (7:30am – 6:30pm)
3. Monday (6:30am-7:30pm), Wednesday, Thursday (7:30am-8:30pm) and every other Saturday (7:30am-6:30pm)

Education/Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program required
• Externship in a family practice, internist, or urgent care setting preferred

Experience

• Two to three years of experience in general patient care (e.g., hospital, physician’s office, or ambulatory care setting) as a CMA preferred

License/Certification/Registration

• Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) required
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association required
