Position Summary 

The EMS Manager oversees the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System on the LOGCAP-V (LC5) Statement of Work (SOW) identified U.S. bases in Kuwait.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides leadership and day-to-day management of the EMS
  • Assures compliance with Vectrus LC5 SOW.
  • Assures compliance with all LC5 program quality and safety requirements.
  • Provides direction and leadership to Deputy Manager, Quality Officer, Training Officer, Paramedics, and any Vectrus assigned personnel (EMTs, Admins) as identified in the SOW.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and unit hour production in a manner which benefits system, stakeholders, complies with contractual requirements as identified in the SOW, and remains fiscally sound.
  • Oversees all on the ground administrative functions to include, personnel issues, time and attendance and all other administrative functions required to run the EMS
  • Responsible for all United States Government (USG),Vectrus and GW MFA directed reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and members of Area Support Group Kuwait (ASG-KU) and EMS community; effectively communicate and make prompt and accurate decisions to help achieve company and Vectrus goals.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates degree is required. A Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • Registration at the NRP level with the National Registry.

Experience

  • Requires at least five years of management experience in an EMS system at the equivalent rank of Lead/Captain.
  • Requires at least 10 years of experience working in a 911 system.
  • At least 5 years in training and education is preferred.
